I'm Tom, a Technical Analyst who's spent the last few years flipping the typical QA role on its head. When I was younger, you'd find me taking things apart to see how they worked, and often breaking them in the process (wow my parents must have thought I was a handful). These days, my job is to do essentially the same thing, just with websites, CMS platforms and deployment pipelines instead of household appliances and Lego (though, still some of that).
I specialise in Optimizely CMS implementations and hold multiple Optimizely certifications across their platform ecosystem - but that's not to say I only work in Opti!

In the day to day, my role goes well beyond traditional quality assurance and finding bugs. I bridge QA, business analysis, technical leadership, and product ownership, working across the full software development lifecycle. A true Shift-Left.

I'm ISTQB Foundation certified and a certified Scrum Master, but what really drives me is understanding the "why" behind systems: why they work, why they fail, how to avoid the same failures in the future, and how to engineer quality in from the start rather than bolt it on at the end.
